Your comfort zone prevents you from reaching your full potential. The basic principle you should always embrace in life is that you were made to shine, and you have a talent to share with the world. Besides, the trick is that you don’t always know what that so-called talent is.
If your talent doesn’t reveal itself naturally, you can always walk the path to it, the sad thing would be to give up on the search or even worse, be aware of it and decide to do nothing with it.
At this point, you will be wasting your unique potential to shine and thus, living your life to the fullest.
There is also the very common “you only live once” and “the only thing we can’t get back, is time”, which are both totally true.
Therefore, living your life always conscious of these concepts will make you seek the life you really want.
Basically, don’t settle down until you can call yourself happy.
There are many examples of what settling down can look like, for instance, being in a relationship with no real love just because you’re afraid or tired of doing the whole “back in the game” dating all over.
Another clear example could be staying in a job because you have repeatedly told yourself “it is the only option”.
The bottom line is that you cannot settle down in any area of your life for less than you deserve, and only you can define that.
What stops you from getting out of your comfort zone?
Reaching a comfort zone is not necessarily an easy task, you certainly went through some work, hard or not, to get there.
But once you are there, in a way, you become a sort of hostage of your safe place. It’s hard to give up the stability of the comfort zone for the thrill of a new adventure.
But the magic does not happen there, the great opportunities, and the personal and professional challenges happen outside the comfort zone. You give your extra mile when you go for more when you take advantage of your skills and abilities and share your light with others.
Sometimes people don’t even realize they have reached their comfort zone, they are completely taken by their everyday hustles and get used to living on autopilot.
They start having their own beliefs on how normal it is to live without going for more. They simply stop questioning anything.

Through the lines in this article, let’s check out three common spoilers that can keep you anchored in your comfort zone:
1. Imposter Syndrome
When you don’t believe in yourself and your talents, you feel like a fraud in front of others, especially because you think that you don’t really know as much as others, and paralyzed by the fear of being “discovered” you freeze and do nothing.
If you can relate, here is the solution: focus on people who are two or more steps behind you; there is always someone less prepared than you, who you can certainly help.
The other side of the coin is to seek help or encouragement from the ones you admire, people you consider role models. Work hard on trusting your talents and the effort you put into getting things done.
Also, remember that you are not going to be liked by everybody and that is fine, you’ll build a community, and there is always going to be someone who needs your expertise, your advice, or your abilities. Focus on what you can do!

2. Comparing Yourself
One of the worst mistakes in life is to compare yourself in any aspect. Each person goes at their own pace, we have different qualities and personalities. So, exploiting yours is what will make you unique.
Comparing yourself can bring you frustrations and despair, without mentioning that what you see on social media or other networks is not always real.
You need to remember that you are only able to see one perspective, outside of business. People deal with a lot of different situations that don’t share with the world.
If you must compare to someone, then do so, with yourself on the day before today. The only magic trick is to wake up and decide to be your best version every single day and enjoy the process.
